RETRO RANCH

INSTALL IN PROGRESS

This project combines the natural rural elements of Sonoma's pasture land with a retro vibe perfect for the home owner. A central element of an Airstream camper can be stationed when not in use in a custom deck for dual use as work space or guest quarters.

Over arching the area will be exposed bulb lights giving it a magical glow at night. The bocce court and fire pit will create spaces for play and gathering. While the IPE deck connects it all and offers a stage for entertaining.

Stay tuned here to see this coming to life!

PLANTING PLAN Softening the edges and blending into the natural fields of the property. We use various grasses to add movement and define the spaces. Drifts of perrenials add pops of color and scent to the front yard.

PLANT PALETTE This showcases the color segment of the plant palette for the planting areas. We are blending the wild ranch look with a more maintained garden. A canvas of grasses will allow these warm color to pop and draw the eye around seasonally.

HARDSCAPE PLAN There are three main desinations in this yard: Bocce Court, IPE Deck with Airstream Trailer and the Fire Pit Circle. All of these elements blend together and are overarched by a unique lighting system.

DELINEATING SPACE The first priority of the design was to mark a clear entry sequence from driveway to front door. Using the monolithic steppingstones and fieldstone boulders we draw visitors into the new landscape.
